China Town in Singapore
Start with a visit to the Chinatown Heritage Centre, which serves as an informative introduction to Singapore’s early Chinese migrants, and then stroll along New Bridge Road and take in the rowdy stalls that serve up barbecued meats and a delicious collection of traditional Chinese foods. Afterwards pay a visit to the Baba House, which is a traditional Peranakan shophouse that has been perfectly preserved, complete with 19th and 20th century furnishings and a bright blue exterior.
